Hi guys hope that you have enjoyed the week 1 of the spring detox program and that you are feeling much better for it!
My journey through the first week was certainly interesting, especially the first few days while sitting at the table with my family eating beetroot salad while they enjoyed a roast chicken! My children were looking at me in awe, especially after day two when I was eating the beetroot salad again. It took me about three days to really get used to it, but once I did I felt great. The best thing was that at the end of the week I wasn’t feeling hungry at all and the initial cravings disappeared quickly. || Read more
Spring is here and with it is time for rejuvenation and regeneration! As nature awakens after a long period of winter I always feel more alive and inspired, ready to shed the heaviness I accumulated in my body over winter. So every spring I spend time cleansing my body. Over the years I tried different detox programs some better than others but this year I decided to follow a 4 week program designed by Antonia Macingova in her book “Eat until you are skinny”.I got very inspired by here story as she cured her self from physical illness with changes that she made in her diet. || Read more
I am sure you have heard about a baby shower but have you heard about blessingway? Now before you think what is this “hippie” stuff all about consider this …
While there are a lot of things in life that we may be able to do many times over and over again, like kiss our beautiful children as often as we want in a day (most of the time), it certainly isn’t like that with pregnancy…Yes while it is true that some of us could have babies one after another for many years, most of us who are blessed to have children in the first place, choose to have two or three at the most these days.
The information that Sarah shares in this book is well-researched and informative and can open mothers to new way of thinking as there is lot of information on truly natural pregnancy and birth, however some of the information might be too out there for some people and they might find it challenging like the idea of lotus birth or no ultrasound etc.. The great thing about this book is that it questions things that are considered standard in maternity care and gives you different and totally valid viewpoint into child birth. Personally I found it a valuable resource to pregnancy, birth, and baby-rearing.
I found this book extremely enjoyable as I find the idea of exploring the emotions through art particularly helpful for pregnant women. However, saying that for a person that does not enjoy art it can be quite challenging and not all that interesting. What I value most about this book is that it focuses on what each individual woman and her partner need to do to prepare for THEIR own birth. Being able to trust the birth process and how natural birth is emphasized very well in this book. It is about the amazing journey of birth, & the crucial importance of creating a sacred space in which one can feel at peace and full of inner strength.
